I keep getting emails from people asking me questions about products that I promote. Apparently, they have all bought the products through my sites, but I can never seem to find any records of them.



I am starting to think that the cookie tracking system is very deficient and that I am not being credited for many sales. It's probably mainly due to users' cookies being disabled.



What measures can we take against this problem? I'm sure that we are all missing out on a lot of money.

How to setup an email server

For 2 weeks I've tried setting up my own email system. I'm so confused. I have no idea how this stuff works.. I tried to read some tutorials, but they only explain how to setup up the actual email server (and that isn't even the hard part here).



I want people to be able to use the lost password function, send out newsletter and those stuff. The PHP scripts for that is already covered. The question is how do I make the email system work? What DNS settings to use? Try to get the whole picture right for me.



What I want to do:

Being able to use the domain "tibiahelp.com" to send out emails to the users.



What I have done so far:

All necessary ports are unblocked.

Configured the email server (Mercury) as following:









The DNS settings:

tibiahelp.com MX dns is set to 85.227.190.37 (IP where email server is hosted)



When I try to send an email from jontz@tibiahelp.com, this is what I get:

Temporary error 249 (temporary MX resolution error) resolving 'hotmail'.com'.

Recently, PayPal have placed a reserve on a percentage of the funds flowing through my account. I see the following message when I log in:



We have applied a reserve to your account. A certain percentage of each day's transactions or a minimum dollar amount will need to remain in your account.



Is this a general change in policy or does it mean they consider my transactions a little risky?

[WTB] Virus removal from server (website)

Hello,



Anyone good at hunting down a virus (mailware) on a website? And getting rid of it. If you van help let me know and cost time etc.



URL is http://www.oxy.co.uk



Bing and chrome has listed the site with a warning as may contain a virus.



When you vist the site virus software pops up to say that a virus (Nod32).



It spears to try and open a file called pdf.php when the site loads with a link to a google stats site in kiev? Please, see the screenshot.



Firefox reports the following as the problem in the body tag but I cannot find in the index.php
